This project is about the relationship between me and my mother who passed away in 2022 from an overdose. I have been wanting to create something in memory of her even though this project may showcase the bad parts of our relationship as mother and daughter, it is just how it went. There is no sugarcoating addiction and what it does to families. I intend for this project to be for people who have lost parents, people to addiction, and people in general. The ability to create art to process emotions as heavy as this is something I never thought I would be able to talk about with strangers. The four posters are split up into each 5 years of my life, zero to five, five to ten, ten to fifteen, and fifteen to twenty. The ladybug is made of acrylic.
